Minister Kaikkonen to take part in Northern Group's defence minister meeting in Iceland

Minister Kaikkonen will take part in the Northern Group's defence minister meeting from 7 to 8 June in Reykjavik.
The Northern Group stands for the Northern European Defence Policy Forum, chaired by Iceland during the first half of 2022. The meeting will be chaired by Iceland's Minister for Foreign Affairs Kolbrún Thórdís Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir. The ministers will discuss the impact of the war started by Russia on the security situation in Northern Europe and security threats in the Arctic region.
The Northern Group is led by Great Britain and includes, apart from Nordic and Baltic countries, the Netherlands, Poland and Germany.
While in Reykjavik, Minister Kaikkonen will sign a bilateral framework agreement with the UK Secretary of State for Defence.
