On Wednesday, 18 March, Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Harakka will attend a video conference of transport ministers organised by the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The purpose of the meeting is to exchange information on the measures taken in the transport sector due to the coronavirus disease and to discuss how to minimise disturbances in the EU's internal market.
Minister Harakka will inform about the measures taken by the Finnish authorities concerning the closure of Finland's borders and restrictions on movement. He will also provide an overview of the current state of the operating capacity in the Finnish transport sector.
