Prime Minister Sanna Marin visits Kyiv on 26 May

On Thursday 26 May, Prime Minister Sanna Marin visited Kyiv at the invitation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. During her visit, she also met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and with the Chairman of Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

On 24 May 2022, Fennovoima Oy submitted to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment a notification by which it cancels the construction licence application concerning the Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant. The company announced on 2 May 2022 that it has terminated the plant delivery contract concluded with Russian RAOS Project.

238,800 unemployed jobseekers in April

Unemployed jobseekers at the end of April, a total of 238 800, 79 600 deductions from the year before.
The number of unemployed jobseekers decreased by 79,600. The number of new vacancies reported in April totalled 111,200. In all, the number of unfilled vacancies amounted to 240,700, which is 87,800 more than a year ago.
