    19.5.2026 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has submitted two applications to the European Commission to qualify for support from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF). The support aims to help redundant workers find new jobs through learning of new skills and individual and locally targeted employment services.

  3. Finland to apply for EU support for those made redundant in paper industry - Finnish Government

    22.12.2025 | Finland has decided to apply for support from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to reduce the impact of terminations announced by the paper industry in October. Finland will submit an application to the European Commission in early 2026 after the number of people being made redundant is known. Funding will be used for services promoting re-employment. Of the total budget of an EGF project, 60 per cent comes from the EU and the remainder is funded nationally.

  6. Finland applies for EU aid to help re-employment of workers made redundant by Finnair - Finnish Government

    30.12.2020 | Finland will apply for support from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) due to the redundancies announced by Finnair in October. Finland submitted an application to the European Commission on 30 December 2020.
