The second reading in Parliament is on Tuesday 7 June and, if the bill is passed, the President of the Republic will approve the Act on Friday 10 June. The ban on salmon fishing would enter into force immediately.

  4. 1.6.2022 | Parliament adopted the proposal for the act on a temporary ban on salmon fishing in the River Tenojoki in the second reading on 31 May. In the Government proposal given in April it was assumed that the act could enter into force on 1 June. Now it seems, however, that the act will not enter into force until on 7 June.
