In accordance with the Act on the promotion of immigrant integration (1386/2010), the Government decides on the national development of the promotion of immigrant integration by drawing up a central government integration programme containing the objectives and measures for the promotion of immigrant integration for the government term.

Goals and results
The Government is to adopt the Government Integration Programme 2024-2027 in the autumn 2024.
Summary
In accordance with the Act on the promotion of immigrant integration (1386/2010), the Government decides on the national development of the promotion of immigrant integration by drawing up a central government integration programme containing the objectives and measures for the promotion of immigrant integration for the government term.
Starting points
The Government integration promotion Programme is drawn up under the Act on the promotion of immigrant integration (1386/2010).
The previous Government integration Programme was drawn up for 2016-2019. The Government Report on the need to reform integration promotion submitted to Parliament in 2021 exceptionally replaced the Government integration Programme 2019-2023.
The Government integration Programme will be prepared in accordance with the Government Programme and it will include the Government's priorities for the promotion of integration in 2024-2027.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment is responsible for the preparation of the programme. The ministries central to the promotion of integration each define the objectives and measures for the promotion of integration for their own administrative branch as part of the operational and financial planning of their administrative branch.
