29.6.2023 | The Government has approved an amendment to the Government Decree on Communicable Diseases by which COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus will no longer be classified as a generally hazardous communicable disease. In future, COVID-19 will be defined as a monitored communicable disease. The amended Decree is scheduled to enter into force on 30 June 2023.

25.8.2023 | In a decision published on 25 August 2023, the European Committee of Social Rights concluded that the right of persons with disabilities to protection of health, social integration and participation in the life of the community as laid down in the revised European Social Charter, as well as the prohibition of discrimination, were not violated in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic in spring 2020.

29.6.2023 | Statsrådet har godkänt en förordningsändring som innebär att covid-19 orsakad av coronaviruset SARS-CoV-2 inte längre är en allmänfarlig smittsam sjukdom. I fortsättningen klassas covid-19 som en smittsam sjukdom som ska övervakas.  Förordningen avses träda i kraft den 30 juni 2023.

25.8.2023 | Europeiska kommittén för sociala rättigheter konstaterar i sitt avgörande den 25 augusti 2023 att rätten till skydd för den enskildes hälsa, till icke-diskriminering, social integrering och deltagande i samhällslivet för personer med funktionsnedsättning i enlighet med den reviderade europeiska sociala stadgan inte kränktes i samband med bekämpandet av covid-19-pandemin våren 2020.
