The Programme states that the Act will be reformed to more effectively take into account risks relating to national security, security of supply and wide-ranging influence activities.

2.1.2025 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications is requesting comments on a draft government proposal on legislation to supplement the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA). The deadline for submitting comments is 14 February 2025.

17.6.2020 | The Government proposes amendments to the Act on the Monitoring of Foreign Corporate Acquisitions to meet the requirements of the EU Regulation establishing a framework for the screening of foreign direct investments into the Union. In addition, amendments are proposed to clarify the scope of application of the Act. The starting point of the Act will continue to be a positive attitude to foreign ownership.
