  5. 8.7.2022 | Electrification aid can be granted to energy-intensive industries, i.e. industries that use a large amount of energy, in 2022–2026.   7. 31.3.2022 | An aid scheme is proposed for electricity-intensive industries to compensate for the indirect costs of emissions trading on the price of electricity. The Government submitted a proposal on this to Parliament on 31 March 2022. The act is scheduled to enter into force in summer 2022.

  10. 17.10.2025 | EU energy ministers will meet in Luxembourg on 20 October 2025. In the meeting, the aim is to approve the Council's general approach on the RePowerEU regulation to gradually phase out natural gas imports from Russia. The other main item on the agenda is to discuss the role of electrification as a driver of the EU’s competitive and clean transition.   12. 23.10.2025 | The amendment to the Electricity Market Act will promote the integration of the increasing electricity generation and growing consumption loads into the main grid and high-voltage distribution network. The Government submitted the Act to the President of the Republic for approval on 23 October 2025. The Act will enter into force on 1 January 2026.
