  1. 7.5.2026 | On 7 May 2026, the Government submitted for approval amendments to the Act on Transport Services, the Driving Licence Act, the Act on the Organisation of Driver Examinations and the Act on the Enforcement of a Fine. The amendments aim to improve the operating conditions for the transport sector. Most of the acts and the amended decree will enter into force on 15 May 2026.

  2. 6.3.2025 | The Government proposes to improve the efficiency of examining asylum applications. At the same time, restrictions would be placed on the ability of beneficiaries of international protection to visit the countries from which they have fled. The enforcement of deportation decisions would also be streamlined. The Government submitted the proposal for the amendments to the Aliens Act to Parliament on 6 March.   6. 10.12.2025 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications has launched a legislative project to introduce a comprehensive reform of the Driving Licence Act, as the new Driving Licences Directive and the updated driving disqualifications rules of the EU shall be transposed into national legislation.   8. 19.2.2021 | The Government has submitted to Parliament a proposal for amending two sections of the Communicable Diseases Act. The amendment to section 16 of the Act concerns the right of the Regional State Administrative Agencies and physicians to decide on compulsory health examinations and the amendment to section 22 concerns the obligation of those who have or have been exposed to a communicable disease to provide information about themselves.
