  1. 25.1.2024 | The Government has decided to raise the maximum amounts of home savers bonus (ASP) loans intended for those buying their first home. The maximum amounts will rise between EUR 15,000 and 25,000 depending on the municipality where the home is located. The aim is to make it easier for people to purchase or build their first home. The new maximum amounts will be applied from 1 April 2024.

  3. 18.11.2025 | Finland has decided to use EUR one billion in financing from the EU’s Security Action for Europe (SAFE) financial instrument to strengthen the defence industry. The plan is to use the financing for multinational joint procurement that will strengthen Finland’s ground combat capabilities and for developing drone performance capabilities in cooperation with Ukraine and its allies.   4. 16.12.2025 | In its meeting on Tuesday 16 December, the Ministerial Committee on European Union Affairs outlined Finland’s positions for the European Council and the EU-Western Balkans summit taking place this week. The ministerial committee also discussed support for Ukraine and the use of frozen Russian assets to finance a reparations loan for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will attend the inauguration to announce Finland’s EUR 11 million funding for constructing civil defence shelters.
