19.1.2026 | The International Monetary Fund (IMF) published its annual report on the Finnish economy on Monday 19 January. According to the IMF, efforts to strengthen public finances will have to continue for several years.

17.12.2025 | Finland will participate in the 17th replenishment of the African Development Fund (AfDF-17) to support sustainable economic growth in the poorest countries on the continent. The objective of the African Development Fund (AfDF) is to reduce poverty by promoting the economic and social development of African countries. Finland is also involved in supporting Africa’s debt sustainability.

10.11.2025 | The International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates that Finland should consolidate general government finances by about EUR 1.5 billion annually. 26.11.2024 | Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Joakim Strand will visit in Strasbourg on 27 November. The programme for his visit includes meetings with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and several key Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and committee chairs. The Minister will also meet with the MEPs from Finland.

23.9.2024 | The mission of the European Partnership Water4All is to support research and innovation projects that will improve global water security in the long term. The theme for the 2024 call that is now open is “Water for Circular Economy”. Funding will be available for international research projects.
