29.4.2026 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications invites comments on a draft government proposal concerning the implementation of the Non-Road Mobile Machinery and Euro 7 Regulations. The proposal also introduces amendments to certain national provisions. Comments may be submitted until 10 June 2026.

22.4.2026 | Työ- ja elinkeinoministeriö pyytää lausuntoja kahdesta hallituksen esitysluonnoksesta, joilla uudistettaisiin hyödyllisyysmallioikeudesta annettua lakia ja auktorisoiduista teollisoikeusasiamiehistä annettua lakia.

27.2.2026 | The National Cyber Security Office, based at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and the Finnish Terminology Centre are requesting comments on a draft of an updated Cybersecurity Glossary. The deadline for submitting comments is 20 March 2026. The glossary project is part of an implementation plan of Finland’s Cyber Security Strategy 2024–2035.

21.4.2026 | Hallitus ehdottaa euromääräisiä rajoja korvauksille, joita syyttömästi pidätetylle, vangitulle tai tuomitulle maksetaan valtion varoista vapauden menetyksen aiheuttamasta kärsimyksestä. Tavoitteena on myös, että tämän niin sanotun koppikorvauksen määrääminen olisi nykyistä ennakoitavampaa. 

10.4.2026 | Oikeusministeriö pyytää lausuntoja esiselvityksestä, jossa on arvioitu mahdollisuuksia veloittaa tuomioistuinten käsittelymaksu ennen asian käsittelyä. Nykyisin tuomioistuinmaksut veloitetaan asian käsittelyn päätyttyä. 

10.12.2025 | Vuokranantajan pidempää irtisanomisaikaa ehdotetaan lyhennettäväksi kuudesta kuukaudesta neljään kuukauteen. Pidemmän irtisanomisajan alkamisajankohtaa siirrettäisiin yhdestä vuodesta kahteen vuoteen. Ehdotuksia koskevat pykäläluonnokset ovat nyt lausunnolla.

21.10.2025 | Työryhmä ehdottaa lainsäädäntömuutoksia, joiden tavoitteena on vahvistaa kuluttajien asemaa vihreässä siirtymässä ja helpottaa tavaroiden korjaamista EU-direktiivien mukaisesti. Mietintö on nyt lausuntokierroksella.

5.1.2026 | The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health invites comments on the integration support. The comments should be submitted by 16 February 2026.

1.10.2025 | Sisäministeriö ja valtiovarainministeriö ovat lähettäneet lausuntokierrokselle ehdotukset alueellisen varautumisen yhteistyön ja tilannekuvatoiminnan kehittämisestä. Lausuntokierros päättyy 14.11.2025.

17.12.2025 | The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health is requesting comments on a draft government proposal that seeks to prevent intentional misuse of social welfare benefits, reduce incorrect social welfare payments and promote information exchange with the Social Insurance Institution (Kela). Statements may be submitted until 28 January 2026.

5.11.2025 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications requests comments on the draft spectrum decree and the draft call for applications on network licences for terrestrial television. Statements on the draft spectrum decree can be submitted until 26 November 2025 and on the draft call for applications on network licences for terrestrial television until 10 December 2025.

24.2.2025 | According to the Government Programme, the regulation concerning the grounds for terminating employment related to the employee will be amended so that, in future, a proper reason would be sufficient for terminating an employment contract. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment requests comments on the legislative amendments to be submitted between 24 February and 7 April 2025. The amendments have been prepared in a tripartite working group that was not unanimous in its work.

7.11.2025 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will hold a public consultation from 7 to 23 November 2025 on a draft government decree setting out provisions on a government grant, which the employment authorities could use to help companies hire unemployed young people under the age of 30. This grant is also known as the employment voucher or recruitment subsidy. It would be awarded to businesses to cover half of the young person’s salary for six months.

12.3.2026 | On 12 March 2026, the European Court of Human Rights issued a decision in a case concerning the expropriation of real property and the amount of compensation paid for expropriation. The Court unanimously declared the applicants’ complaint under Article 1 (protection of property) of Protocol No. 1 to the European Convention on Human Rights inadmissible as manifestly ill-founded.

12.12.2025 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications is seeking comments on a Government draft on approving amendments to the Convention on Road Signs and Signals until 27 January 2026.

20.12.2024 | The Ministry of Transport and Communications requests comments on the updates to the national 12-year transport system plan Transport 12 and on the environmental report. The deadline for submitting comments is 5 March 2025.

24.10.2025 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment requests comments on the draft Government decision concerning offshore wind power areas in the exclusive economic zone and on the related environmental report in accordance with the Act on the Assessment of the Effects of Certain Plans and Programmes on the Environment (the SOVA Act).

19.12.2024 | Asuinhuoneiston vuokrauksesta annettuun lakiin ehdotetaan muutoksia. Tavoitteena on huomioida lainsäädäntömuutokset ja toimintaympäristön kehitys. Samalla esitetään eräitä tarkistuksia myös liikehuoneiston vuokrauksesta annettuun lakiin.

26.6.2025 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has sent out for comments the draft of the new Nuclear Energy Act. Primarily, the new act aims to ensure that the use of nuclear energy is in line with the overall good of society, that the operations are safe and that nuclear waste generated in Finland is handled properly.

2.9.2024 | Luonnos kulttuuripoliittiseksi selonteoksi on valmistunut ja lähetetty laajalle lausuntokierrokselle. Luonnos perustuu laajapohjaisessa työryhmässä tehtyyn valmisteluun. Valmistelussa on määritelty neljä pitkän aikavälin tavoitetta, jotka ulottuvat 2040-luvulle, sekä toimenpide-ehdotukset niiden saavuttamiseksi.
