30.6.2025 | The United Nations’ fourth International Conference on Financing for Development will take place in Seville, Spain, from 30 June to 3 July. The aim of the conference is to reform the international financial architecture for development cooperation and accelerate funding for sustainable development. Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will represent Finland at the conference.

30.10.2025 | The world countries will convene at the Climate Change Conference COP30 in Belém, Brazil on 10–21 November. The countries are required to update their Nationally Determined Contributions every five years, and the next round of submissions is due just ahead the conference.

19.12.2024 | Finland’s economy has returned to growth this year, and growth is expected to accelerate next year, according to the forecast published by the Ministry of Finance on 19 December.

31.1.2023 | A silent revolution has taken place in Finland’s development cooperation: Finland is now seeking development impacts through investments, meaning that the invested capital flows back to Finland with a slight profit. Last year, development policy loans and funds yielded around EUR 2.2 million in revenue for the central government.
