On Tuesday 27 January, Prime Minister Orpo met for separate discussions with President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji. 16.12.2022 | Development projects promoting the recovery of tourism industry in the regions have supported the capacity of regions to cope with the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. In spring 2022, the Regional Council of Southwest Finland, the Regional Council of South Savo and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment launched an external evaluation, which examined the implementation of the projects and the impacts of funding. 1.9.2021 | The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has appointed a High-Level Working Group on Tourism, which will serve as an expert advisory body on strategy related to tourism development. The High-Level Working Group will promote the implementation of Finland’s tourism strategy for 2019–2028. 3.9.2024 | The Governments of Finland and Sweden will hold a joint session in Stockholm on 16 September. The purpose of the meeting is to further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
