Anu Vehviläinen appointed Minister of Local Government and Transport

On Wednesday 29 May, the President of the Republic appointed Minister of Local Government and Public Reforms Anu Vehviläinen as Minister of Local Government and Transport. On the same occasion, the President of the Republic released Anne Berner from her duties as Minister of Transport and Communications.

The Government plenary session on 29 May decided on the division of responsibilities and on the ministerial deputies. Minister of Local Government and Transport Vehviläinen was designated as member of the Ministerial Committee on European Union. State Secretary Jari Partanen was appointed to continue in his duties as state secretary to the Centre Party Government group.
