The President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed Syria and the Government Report on Finnish Foreign and Security Policy
On Friday 11 October, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed Turkey’s military operation in Syria.
Finland considers that there is no military solution to the Syrian conflict. Finland has called upon Turkey to cease the military action. The humanitarian situation in the region causes concern. The Government will not grant new arms export licences to Turkey or other countries engaged in war.
Additionally, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed the preparations for a new Government Report on Finnish Foreign and Security Policy.
