Press release

The healthcare fee for students in higher education will be EUR 73.60 and the late-payment fee EUR 5 in 2024. The fee charged for an unattended appointment will be EUR 56.70, i.e. the same as in other health and social services.

The amounts of the student healthcare fees for higher education students in 2024 were confirmed by a government decree on 23 November 2023.

The healthcare fee charged from higher education students for using student healthcare services will be EUR 73.60 per year, or EUR 36.80 per term in 2024. The fee charged for paying the healthcare fee after the due date, i.e. the late-payment fee, will be EUR 5.00. These fees will be the same as in 2023.

In student healthcare, the number of appointments that are uncancelled or missed without a valid reason has risen in recent years. The aim is to reverse this trend by raising the fee charged for an unattended appointment to EUR 56.70. After the change, the fee will correspond to the fee charged for an unattended appointment in other health and social services.

Previously, the fee charged for an unattended appointment was EUR 40.

The draft decree concerning the fees was open for comments between 16 October and 11 November 2023.
