Minister Multala travelling to London to promote cooperation in higher education and research
Minister of Science and Culture Sari Multala will visit London from 24 October to 25 October. During her visit, Multala will meet her ministerial colleague, visit a university and attend various events. The aim of the visit is to strengthen cooperation in higher education and research between Finland and the United Kingdom.
Minister Multala’s visit includes a meeting with Lord Vallance, UK Minister of State for Science. The two ministers will discuss cooperation in higher education and science between Finland and the United Kingdom and how the UK has successfully intensified cooperation between the private sector, universities and research institutes, for example.
Multala will also attend an event called “Young Professionals” organised by the Embassy of Finland. Both Finnish and British higher education students, researchers and young people working in different fields will be attending the event. In addition to networking, the purpose of the event is to promote Finland as a country of opportunities for studying and finding work.
