The Ministry of Justice will move to shared premises with the Ministry of Education and Culture at Meritullinkatu 10, Helsinki on 12 August 2024. The premises have been renovated to meet the needs of both ministries.

The premises of the Ministry of Justice are currently located at Eteläesplanadi 10.

Postal address to remain unchanged

All of the personnel of the Ministry of Justice will move to the new premises. The Ministry’s postal address and telephone numbers will remain unchanged. As of 12 August 2024, the new street address will be Meritullinkatu 10, Helsinki.

Decision motivated by savings and increase in remote work

The occupancy rates of central government premises have fallen significantly as central government employees have continued to work remotely after the COVID-19 pandemic. Another motivation behind the more efficient use of premises is to achieve savings in central government finances. By disposing of the property located at Eteläesplanadi 10, the central government will save approximately EUR 2.4 million a year.

New ways of working and support for wellbeing at work have been paid special attention to in the new premises.
