Report on Foreign and Security Policy, and Nordic cooperation discussed by the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy

In their meeting on 23 October, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy finalised the Government Report on Finnish Foreign and Security Policy, which will be submitted to Parliament once it has been endorsed in the Government plenary session. 

The President and the Ministerial Committee also discussed Nordic cooperation on foreign and security policy, and on defence and received a briefing on the preparations for Finland’s upcoming chairmanships. In 2021, Finland will chairthe Nordic (N5) cooperation on foreign and security policy and the Nordic-Baltic (NB8) cooperation. Finland will also chair the Nordic defence cooperation (NORDEFCO).
