Russian Prime Minister Medvedev telephoned Prime Minister Rinne to congratulate him on the appointment

Prime Minister Antti Rinne and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev discussed over the telephone on Wednesday 19 June.

Prime Minister Medvedev congratulated Prime Minister Rinne on the appointment and extended an invitation to him to a visit Moscow. The exact dates when the visit is to take place will be decided later.
The Prime Ministers talked about cooperation between the two countries in environmental issues, the current trade situation and other topical matters.

The initiative to the telephone conversation came from Prime Minister Medvedev.
