The 2022 HIMSS European Health Conference and Exhibition, which is a major event in digital wellbeing and health technology in Europe,  will bring together international guests and exhibitors in Helsinki, Finland, on 14–16 June 2022. The topics to which the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health will draw particular attention at the Conference include technology supporting living at home for older people, the use of health and social data in research, and inclusion in a digitalising society. Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services Aki Linden will deliver an opening address at the Conference.

Influential actors in the digital health sector will meet for a workshop to be held in connection with the Conference to discuss the importance of trust and inclusion in the development of digital services. This Digital Health Advisory Group for Europe (DHAGE) includes decision-makers representing various European authorities and international organisations such as the UN, WHO and the OECD. The results of the workshop will be presented in a panel intended for the Conference audience. More detailed results will be published later as recommendations on how to take trust and inclusion into account in decision-making.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health is involved in organising two side events related to the Conference. On Tuesday morning, 14 June, the discussion will focus on the development of agetech and the available solutions. On Tuesday afternoon, the focus will be on how health and social data can be used in health and biomedical research. The events will be open to the public. More information on the registration is available below.
