Cybersecurity on the agenda of the informal meeting of EU telecommunications ministers, Minister Ranne: Finland is a cybersecurity leader

Minister of Transport and Communications Lulu Ranne will represent Finland at the informal meeting of EU telecommunications ministers in Warsaw on 4 and 5 March 2025. The meeting was convened by the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
“Finland is a pioneer in cybersecurity, which is a message I am glad to promote globally. We have a long tradition of cooperation between the public and private sectors in cybersecurity preparedness. Cybersecurity exercises test and strengthen this cooperation at different levels. However, we must be vigilant and constantly develop our activities. We cannot lose focus,” Minister Ranne says.
The main theme of the meeting of will be cyber security. The agenda will include updating the cybersecurity Blueprint in order to promote EU cooperation in responding to disruptions. Blueprint is the EU’s operating model for a coordinated response to large-scale cybersecurity incidents and crises.
The meeting will discuss civil-military cooperation as well as investments in cybersecurity.
It will be an informal meeting where no decisions are taken.
