Jussi Kaurola to be interim Director General of the Finnish Meteorological Institute

Jussi Kaurola, Director of Weather, Sea and Climate Centre at the Finnish Meteorological Institute, has been appointed as Director General of the Meteorological Institute from 1 June to 31 August 2020.
The present Director General, Juhani Damski, has been appointed by the Government as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the Environment as of 1 June 2020.
Applications are currently invited for the post of Director General of the Meteorological Institute through an open process. The deadline for applications is 22 May 2020. Kaurola will serve as Director General for the duration of the application process.
