Permanent Secretary Kivimäki to discuss EU and security in Brussels and Copenhagen

Permanent Secretary of the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications Minna Kivimäki will visit Copenhagen on 7–9 April 2025.
Denmark will hold the Presidency of the Council of the EU from the beginning of July until the end of 2025. Kivimäki and her Danish colleagues will discuss topical EU issues in the transport, telecommunications and cyber sectors.
Their agenda will also include security in the Baltic Sea and Nordic cooperation.
Kivimäki will have meetings with members of the senior management in the Danish Ministry of Resilience and Preparedness, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Digital Affairs. She will also meet the Directors General of the Danish Maritime Authority and the European Environment Agency.
Kivimäki to speak at European Parliament seminar
Kivimäki will then travel to Brussels to continue discussions on security on 10 and 11 April.
She will address a European Parliament seminar on military mobility and preparedness on 10 April. The seminar has been organised by Finnish Members of the European Parliament Merja Kyllönen and Pekka Toveri.
In the European Commission, Kivimäki will meet with the Directors-General of three Directorate-Generals: Roberto Viola from DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology; Kerstin Jorna from DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs; and Magda Kopczyńska from DG Mobility and Transport.
Kivimäki will also give a speech about the importance of digitalisation for Europe's competitiveness at an event organised by Microsoft.
