Permanent Secretary Kivimäki visits Brussels to influence EU processes

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Minna Kivimäki, together with the Ministry’s senior public officials, is visiting Brussels on 11–13 February 2025 to influence various EU processes.

During the visit, Kivimäki and the senior public officials meet European Commission representatives and Finnish public officials working in Brussels.

The agenda includes meetings with the chiefs of cabinet of the Commissioners responsible for the administrative sectors of transport and communications and defence in the European Commission. In addition, Permanent Secretary Kivimäki and the senior public officials will discuss with Magda Kopczynska, Director-General at the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport, and Kamila Kloc, Director at the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology.

The main topic to be discussed is the European Commission’s work programme 2025. The other topics to be addressed include military mobility, cyber security, 6G and security situation in the Baltic Sea area.

While in Brussels, Permanent Secretary Kivimäki and the senior public officials will organise a discussion event for the Finnish public officials working in the Commission.
