Text message reminders being sent to increase voter turnout

The Ministry of Justice and the Prime Minister's Office are sending text messages to eligible voters reminding them of the upcoming county and municipal elections. The recipients have been selected by random sampling.
The aim of the messages is to increase voter turnout in the elections. Similar text message reminders were also sent in connection with the 2023 parliamentary elections and the 2022 county elections.
