The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes)

The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) monitors and promotes the safety, conformity and reliability of products, services and production systems, as well as consumer and chemical safety. The search for a new Director General of Tukes began in February and the vacancy will be filled from 1 July.

The Director General directs the Agency’s activities and is responsible for their development and effectiveness as well as the achievement of the Agency’s objectives. The Director General is appointed by the Government for a period of five years at a time.
