Non-EU installation operators can now submit their emissions data directly to the CBAM Registry

Press release

The Commission has opened a new portal section of the CBAM Registry for non-EU installation operators to facilitate the sharing of emissions data. Via the portal, manufacturers of CBAM goods can themselves submit the emissions data of their goods to the Registry.

If an importer wishes to retrieve the emissions data directly from the Registry, they should provide their EORI number to the manufacturer. The importer can then use the emissions data available in the Registry in their own CBAM report in the Transitional Registry. In that case, the data won’t need to be transmitted using the Commission’s CBAM communication template, that is, the Excel spreadsheet where manufacturers compile the emissions data.

Guidance and video tutorials on the use of the portal as well as a link to the portal are available on the Commission’s website under ”CBAM Registry access for non-EU installation operators”.

For any questions relating to the use of the portal, please contact the Commission’s CBAM support at [email protected].
