The Defence Forces have signed a four-year agreement to procure grenade and cartridge boxes. Framework agreements to procure 155 TKR grenade and cartridge boxes were concluded for 2024-2027.
Made of coniferous wood, the boxes are used to store, distribute on the terrain and transport 155 TKK grenades and cartridges directly to the end user or to various stages of the logistics chain. Grenade and cartridge boxes are moved with tractor and forklift spikes and carrying handles, and they are transported in the loading space of suitable off-road and on-road trucks and in different trailers.
The overall value of the procurement, without value added tax, does not exceed EUR 10 884 000. Finnish companies Savopak Oy and Rakennepalvelu Jurva Rinne Oy provide the procurement package, both being solely responsible for their part of the package.
The procurement has a significant domestic employment effect. The production volume capacity is not, however, public information.
