Finnish Defence Forces to procure system support services from Finland

Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen has authorised the Finnish Defence Forces to procure support ser-vices for military aviation, maritime defence, intelligence, surveillance and command and control from the Finnish companies Patria Aviation Oy and Insta Group Oy. The main part of deliveries will take place in 2025–2028.
The total value of the procurement from Patria Aviation Oy, excluding value added tax, is around EUR 115.4 million. In Finland, the employment impact will be around 530 person-years in 2025 and around 1,030 in 2025–2028.
The total value of the procurement from Insta Group Oy, excluding value added tax, is around EUR 23.8 million.
Its employment impact will be around 50 person-years in Finland.
“We are again making significant procurements from Finnish companies and utilise Finnish expertise. The procurements have considerable effects on employment. It is important that we can produce domestical-ly services that are of strategic importance to the Finnish Defence Forces”, Häkkänen says.
Both Patria Aviation Oy and Insta Group Oy are strategic partners of the Finnish Defence Forces. The partnership agreements cover life-cycle support services for the aircraft and systems in military aviation, maritime defence systems and the systems of intelligence, surveillance, command and control, target acquisition, training and information security.
