Suspected violation of Finnish airspace over the Gulf of Finland

A Russian state aircraft is suspected of having violated Finnish airspace over the Gulf of Finland, west of the town of Hanko.

The suspected violation took place on 7 February 2025 at about 17.15 in the afternoon. The Russian plane is suspected of having flown in Finnish airspace for a few minutes.

The Finnish Border Guard is investigating the incident and will provide further information as the investigation progresses.
