The impact of Brexit on international trade in goods statistics country codes 2021

From the beginning of 2021, the international trade in goods between Northern Ireland and Finland is no longer included in the international trade between Great Britain (GB) and Finland. The details of Northern Ireland are published separately with the country code XI and the details of Great Britain are still published with the country code GB.

The details of international trade in goods for both country codes are considered as being part of the non-EU trade. The details of Great Britain are provided in customs declarations, but details of Northern Ireland are, for the time being, provided with Intrastat declarations.
