The Border Guard supports the Central Criminal Police in preliminary investigations at sea.

The Gulf of Finland Coast Guard District of the Finnish Border Guard supports National Bureau of Investigations in the preliminary investigation into the C-Lion1- cable breakage.

The Coast Guard executes crime scene investigation at the international waters in the southern Baltic Sea. In the task is used for patrol vessel Turva’s underwater capacities.
