On Friday 30 August, the President of the Republic and the Cabinet Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic. The Committee expressed its deep concern over the situation and condemned in the strongest terms the use of chemical weapons. The Committee underlined the primary responsibility of the UN Security Council in this situation. The development of the situation in Syria will be closely monitored by the Committee.
