Cooperation with Sweden and support for Ukraine on the agenda during Minister Tavio’s visit to Stockholm
Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will visit Stockholm on 17–18 September to meet his Nordic colleagues and business representatives.
Minister Tavio will meet with Sweden’s new Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa on Tuesday 17 September. The ministers will discuss topical trade and development matters.
Minister Tavio’s programme also includes meetings with representatives of Sweden’s business life and Finnish companies operating in the country. The main focus of the meetings will be on commercial opportunities in Northern Sweden.
On Wednesday 18 September, Minister Tavio will attend a meeting of Nordic Development Ministers, the agenda for which will include clean transition, migration and Ukraine.
“Sweden is Finland’s closest bilateral partner. Finland and Sweden have very close cooperation in many areas, including trade and economy. There is plenty of potential for increasing cooperation especially in the north”, says Minister Tavio.
