Eeva-Liisa Inkeroinen appointed Chairperson of Finnish Council of Regulatory Impact Analysis
On Thursday 10 March, the Government appointed the members of the Finnish Council of Regulatory Impact Analysis for the 15 April 2025–14 April 2028 term. Eeva-Liisa Inkeroinen, LL.M., was appointed to serve as Chairperson. The purpose of the Council is to improve the quality of impact assessments concerning government proposals and the culture of legislative drafting more generally.
Eeva-Liisa Inkeroinen is a lawyer who has served as Executive Vice President of Technology Industries of Finland, among other positions. Director General Tuulia Hakola-Uusitalo, Secretary General Leena Linnainmaa, Professor Ulla Liukkunen, Professor, Director Mika Maliranta and Professor Juho Saari will continue on the Council. Martti Hetemäki, Doctor of Social Sciences, has been appointed as a new member.
The Finnish Council of Regulatory Impact Analysis is an autonomous and independent body that operates within the Prime Minister’s Office. The term of the current Council will end on 14 April 2025.
