Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin visits Finland
Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin of Ethiopia is visiting Finland on 6–8 April. His visit is the first by a foreign minister of Ethiopia since Foreign Minister Berhanu Bayih visited Finland in 1989.
The agenda of the visit includes bilateral relations between Finland and Ethiopia and regional issues pertaining to the Horn of Africa as well as global international and political affairs.
On Wednesday, 7 April Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin will meet with Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyryen and the Foreign Minister’s Special Representative to African crisis areas, MP Pekka Haavisto.
Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin will attend a lunch hosted by Minister of Migration and European Affairs Astrid Thors, and he will meet with President Martti Ahtisaari thereafter.
