EU Foreign Affairs Council to discuss Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and situation in Middle East

The EU foreign ministers will convene in Brussels on 27 May. State Secretary Pasi Rajala will represent Finland at the meeting.
The Foreign Affairs Council will continue the discussion on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, with a focus on the EU’s military support and use of profits from Russia’s immobilised assets for Ukraine, preparations for the peace summit to be held in Switzerland and sanctions against Russia.
With regard to the situation in the Middle East, the foreign ministers will discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the EU’s actions to promote peace based on the two-state solution.
The Foreign Affairs Council will also discuss the situation in Venezuela and Georgia.
