(Translation. Originally published in Finnish on 13 June 2014)
The preparations for the Open Finland 2014 event which is scheduled for September are moving ahead as planned. Exhibitors for a total of 31 stands were selected for the event focusing on open data and its uses.
The perspective of how to use open data was given particular emphasis in the selection process. In addition, the organisers paid attention to the functionality of the stands and the possibilities for interaction between them. As for participating companies, great emphasis was placed on whether they have implemented new services and products. A list of the exhibitors can be found at avoinsuomi2014.fi.
Stands could be applied for at the event website until 20 May 2014. The Prime Minister's Office sent instructions and the decision concerning the admission to the applicants. Those who were selected to be among the exhibitors will need to confirm their attendance or non-attendance by 25 June.
