Finnish solutions to feature prominently during Commissioner Síkela’s visit

EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Síkela will visit Helsinki and Espoo on 17–18 November 2025. The main themes of the visit will be digitalisation and critical raw materials.

Commissioner Síkela will meet Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio and visit Nokia’s head office and the Geological Survey of Finland. The Commissioner will also discuss Finnish solutions with key business representatives.

“The EU Global Gateway strategy promotes major infrastructure projects in developing countries. This visit will open up an opportunity for Finnish businesses and other operators to showcase their expertise and technology to Commissioner Síkela and thus facilitate their access to EU funding,” Minister Tavio says.
