Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen to attend 25th anniversary of Nordic embassies in Berlin
Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will visit Berlin to attend the 25th anniversary of the Nordic embassies on 21 October. Foreign Minister Valtonen and her Nordic colleagues will meet Germany’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock in connection with the event.
Foreign Minister Valtonen will attend the 25th anniversary of the Nordic embassies in Berlin in the Nordic Embassy Complex on 21 October. President of the Republic Alexander Stubb will also represent Finland at the event. Participants from the other Nordic countries include the foreign ministers and representatives of the royal families.
The Nordic and German foreign ministers will hold a meeting in connection with the anniversary celebrations.
“The Berlin embassy complex reflects excellently the valuable cooperation between the Nordic countries in Europe as well as globally. I am pleased that we will have an opportunity to discuss topical themes with our German colleague in connection with the celebrations. Germany and the Nordic countries are among our most important allies and partners. We can build a stronger Europe by further intensifying our cooperation,” says Foreign Minister Valtonen.
During her visit, Minister Valtonen will give interviews to the German media and speak to the wider media at a joint Nordic press conference.
