Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen to meet French Minister for Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot in Paris
On her official visit to France on 24 July, the Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will meet with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.
The two ministers will discuss topical foreign policy issues, including the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and the support for Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and issues related to the European Union. They will also discuss bilateral relations between Finland and France.
“This will be an excellent opportunity to exchange views with my French colleague. France plays a significant role in strengthening European security and in other foreign policy issues. France is also bilaterally a key partner for Finland and an ally with whom we are building an increasingly strategic cooperation,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
