Foreign Minister Stubb to participate in EU-Central Asia Ministerial Forum
Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will participate on Thursday 18 September in the meeting between the European Union and Central Asian countries, organised by the French Presidency of the EU, addressing especially the issue of security in Central Asia. Strengthening the role of the European Union in solution of security issues and enhancing the border security in Central Asia are part of the Union Strategy for Central Asia adopted by the EU in June 2007.
The foreign ministers of the EU states and Central Asian countries have been invited to the meeting. Minister Stubb will address the opening session of the meeting in his role as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
