Foreign Minister Valtonen to attend meeting of Baltic Sea states in Warsaw

Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will attend an informal ministerial meeting of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) in Warsaw on 4 March.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will attend an informal ministerial meeting of the CBSS in Warsaw on 4 March. The meeting will be attended by Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Estonia and the EU. The discussion will focus on topical foreign and security policy issues.

“Close cooperation among the Baltic Sea countries on foreign and security policy is vital, and Finland is making a strong contribution to this cooperation,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Valtonen. 

During her visit to Warsaw, Minister Valtonen will also meet Maria Telalian, the Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
