Foreign Minister Valtonen to visit Lithuania

Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will meet Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys in Vilnius on 16 January.

The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Lithuania and topical foreign and security policy issues, including the support for Ukraine and regional cooperation.

“Lithuania is a key partner for Finland, and I value our deepening bilateral cooperation. We are actively involved in Nordic–Baltic cooperation, which is important for both our countries in terms of security, countering hybrid threats and supporting Ukraine. Our cooperation strengthens European security,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.

During her visit, Minister Valtonen will also attend the Snow Meeting, one of Lithuania’s principal annual foreign and security policy events.
