German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit Finland on 11-12 April and will have official talks with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja on 12 April. They will discuss Finnish-German cooperation regarding their consecutive EU presidencies, the future and the enlargement of the EU, the European Security and Defence Policy and relations between the EU and NATO, the EU's energy policy, Russia, the Western Balkans, the Middle East peace process, Iran and relations with the Islamic world.

During his visit, Foreign Minister Steinmeier will also meet with President Tarja Halonen.
