The Finland Promotion Board is currently updating Finland’s country branding strategy and is inviting everyone to contribute their views. The ‘12 questions about Finland’ survey provides an opportunity for people to share their perceptions and experiences of Finland. The answers will be used in future country branding work.

Do you see Nordic identity as an essential aspect of Finnishness? Is Finland a safe country to live in? These are some examples of the survey’s themes. The survey is anonymous and open to all – anyone anywhere around the world can participate in it. Our aim is to engage as many people with connections to Finland as possible.

The survey is being carried out by the Finland Promotion Board (FPB), which guides and coordinates Finland’s country branding. The FPB is a network consisting of representatives of the public, private and third sectors appointed by the Prime Minister. The network is chaired by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ Director General of Communications. The Director of Government Communications and the Director of Communications of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment serve as Vice-Chairs. The network’s Secretariat is based at the Foreign Ministry’s Unit for Public Diplomacy.

The survey ‘12 questions about Finland’ is open until 17 October.
