Kairamo-Hella to be Head of Mission in Geneva

The Government decided on 12 January to present to the President of the Republic the appointment of Counsellor for Foreign Affairs Päivi Kairamo-Hella to serve as Head of the Permanent Mission of Finland in Geneva from 1 July 2012.

Kairamo-Hella has served as Secretary General at the Office of the President of the Republic of Finland since 2009 and as the President’s Diplomatic Adviser from 2005 to 2009. She has gained experience of international positions in the European Commission, Finland’s Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Helsinki. Furthermore, Kairamo-Hella has worked as Committee Counsel in the Finnish Parliament and as Government Secretary in the Ministry of Labour.
